Title: Trying to get a SCSI2SD working in my x68000
Post by: Mistasparkaru on February 06, 2019, 07:19:26 AM
Hello All,

My keyboard just got out of customs so I can finally start using my X68000

I wanted to use the X68000_V4.HDS image so I bought a 16Gb microSD and wrote it to the card...after swearing for a while wondering why my SD card wouldnt show up, then realising i had to run winimage as an administrator

I then setup my scsi2sd card with the following settings
(https://i.ibb.co/cLhZWTb/Capture1.png) (https://imgbb.com/)
(https://i.ibb.co/wRDJrd7/Capture2.png) (https://imgbb.com/)

I then made up a 50 - 20 pin cable and connected it to the motherboard and the scsi2sd card, i'm reasonably sure the cable is ok as I tested each core with a continuity tester before plugging it in.

but I cant boot from the scsi2sd. I managed to enable the boot loader in switch.x but i get these errors

and scsiformat wont recognise it

Im new to the x68000 so im probably doing something silly, can anyone help?

Could be an issue with the internal cable.  Can you try connecting the SD2SCSI up to the external SCSI port with SCSI cables and see if it does the same thing?

Good news! It was a loose pin on the sasi cable, i must have wigled it loose after testing it.

All working now.
