Title: When "JUNK" means JUNK!
Post by: hyrulebr on October 17, 2018, 11:13:16 PM
Wow.

Never saw a auction in that condition.

https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b343060462

4 bids...Is the hope to save the memory expansion and midi card? But both seem bent to me.

7 bids and 6500 yens... :o what are you supposed to salvage from there?, the carrying handle?, because the rust tells me that it's been underwater for a while...

Or we are seeing the beginning of the most amazing restoration proyect ever or people is losing their minds in japan...

I've seen intact JUNK systems in great shape sell for less.

Seeing this auction made me cheer up because normally folks would throw something like that out.

But the fact that the seller still had hope it might be of use to someone,
and it looks like it may, wow, just wow.
