Title: Do 5.25 drives “thunk” on power up?
Post by: leonk on September 25, 2018, 12:47:06 PM
I noticed that when I power my X68K, my 5.25 FD makes a couple of thunking sounds. I guess it’s trying to seek a FD before system boots on sCSI

Has anyone else noticed this? It’s not the same sound as the traditional PC BIOS seeking floppies (that is more of a “bee wee” sound). This one is more like thunk, thunk, thunk.

Mine do that. Doesn't seem unusual to me.
