Title: PS2 V9-10 PAL/NTSC Colour fix?
Post by: Darklegion on May 27, 2004, 01:17:00 AM
On the eariler models (v1-7) it was a simple bridging of 2 points on both pal and nstc consoles(similar to how it was done on the saturn) ,and all games would be forced to the ps2's native colors...like the dreamcast does automatically.Unfortunately I've looked around and no-one seems to have discovered the points for the later model ps2's...but maybe someone around here has found a fix?

Thanks

It forces ntsc games to run in pal 60hz on a pal console. The opposite can be done with ntsc consoles too.Worked perfectly btw.Won't be an issue with rgb users like us though since rgb color coding is independent of region...and my tv can read both in any case.

So it doesn't do that initially with a mod chip or swap disc???

Thanks for the info BTW.  ;)

some modchips do it...the more expensive ones anyway.Shorting 2 pins takes all of a couple of seconds though,no need for a modchip to do it :)
