I know it's not the easiest/cheapest route by any means, but I'd like to "complete the ensemble." I'd consider any model monitor as long as its black to match the rest of my setup. Thanks!

Good luck. I paid about $600 to import mine. I paid top dollar to have it properly packed and shipped via EMS. The shipping costs more than the monitor itself.
I guess I got lucky since I used the cheapest shipping and had it sent from Japan by boat. Took many weeks to arrive, but arrived working. It was well packed though.
Well, it wasn't easy and it wasn't cheap, but my monitor has arrived safe and sound!
Even though I told myself I was rolling the dice having one of these shipped, it seems I may have worried just a tad too much - it was extremely well packed! It's working great, save for a few adjustment knobs that are unresponsive. Luckily the picture is near perfect, so I don't feel the need to diagnose it further.
Now I can finally play those pesky 15khz games!
