Title: Mysterious Board at my X68 PRO
Post by: e1000 on August 06, 2014, 10:02:13 AM
Hello all,

I have a X68 PRO in a very good shape. It came with a MIDI board and... a mysterious board:

It has Composite + SVideo  + RGB Out, plus two cables (DB-15 and DIN8). Also it has a "VTR REC ON/OFF".

What is this board used for? It seams a video-related board.

Please take a look here: http://goo.gl/n5WSif (http://goo.gl/n5WSif)

I appreciate if you guys have any clue on that.

Thanks!

It's a video out board. Unfortunately, it does not convert the horizontal scan frequency.

Thanks for the answer.

However, what is that "VTR ON/OFF" switch?

And those cables out from the board, are they meant to control a VCR?

Could you please take photos of this boards PCB for the Wiki ?

Keep the scene alive !

Hi Eidis,

Sure I'll do that as soon as I can.

I was already thinking on that to make it better to identify!

Regards,

I would be super interested in the IC they use for the RGB > S-video conversion.  Probably a CXA1145 in there :)
