Title: PCE Duo RX RGB mod advice
Post by: hellbelly on April 11, 2004, 02:05:10 AM
I've been asked to make an RGB scart lead with an amplifier for someones Duo rx.  This guy is in a different country to me, so I would like to avoid any trial and error, plus - I've never even seen a PCE before, let alone taken one apart to play around.

I've squeezed the N64 amplifier into a scart plug before - am I right in assuming that the N64 amplifier, which I've seen around here somewhere, isn't brilliant when used with a PCE?

I've been looking at building the amplifer as shown on the RGB mod page on gamesx, I see it needs 12V aswell as the normal 5V.  I have a couple of questions about it:

Which scart pins do the 5V and 12V signal goto?  I assuming 8 and 16?

Will it be easy for the other person wiring up the socket in the Duo to find a 12V source?

Apologies for the simple questions!

Cheers
Pete
