Heres my system I've been obsessed with for months....It's a portable Sega CDX w/TV Tuner. It will also play SMS/32X games and I developed my own battery packs for it as well as an optional amp. What do you all think?

You're a madman.
It must be big fun changing games in that thing.
It's alive. ALIVE!
It looks downright functional, though the aesthetics may need a bit (i.e. a shit-load) of work. ;) But, we all have to start somewhere. How much play time can you get with that setup?
That's pretty damn cool. If it had some sort of plastic case, I'd drop the pretty and replace it with "really," or "very." Nice work.
Excellent work my friend!
The battery pack needs work, too bulky for a "portable" system.
They sell tiny lithium batteries at home depot! (worth a shot)
hey, glad some of you guys like it. actually changing games is a sinch...much like Ben Heckerdorn's portable SNES...he was my inspiration for the project. Sure, it needs a lot of work...im not sure how I'm going to make a casing for it, but it serves my purposes everyday. The battery packs are big, but external, I just throw them in a bag or my pocket-theyre the same batteries in the GG old skool "hot dog" battery pack. 7.2v Nimh rechargeable batteries. The size really isn't a problem and since they're external it cuts down on the weight. (I assume you were commenting on the Sega CD battery pack and not the TV tuners). I get a good 2-3 hours play time off one pack, but I have 4-so I can really max it out. And if the sega CD pack dies, I can still watch TV or use the CD player function. Im also currently working on adding a radio, and I already designed an external mini-amp for the best portable speaker sound ever ^_^ So yes, It's a big bulk of a set-up, but it's one of the best, most advanced portable systems out there :)

Hey you should poast it on the portables forum http://www.classicgaming.com/vcsp/board/ (http://www.classicgaming.com/vcsp/board/) They would love to see it
Use a wireless Genesis 6-button pad. Also, I did see an official Sega LCD that attached to the top of whatever cartridge you had in the cart slot or something. Was that ever released?
