Title: Recommended RGB splitter? (Do I even need one?)
Post by: DanAdamKOF on August 18, 2012, 08:54:30 AM
Let's say I want to take SCART RGB from a PS2, and split it so that my TV gets the RGB signal, and a NTSC encoder also gets the signal (for capturing/streaming). Wouldn't I need a powered splitter for this, since there's only enough current to drive one source? If I simply split the RGB signals into two connections and hook it up to two devices, won't the image on each device be dim? Or am I overthinking this scenario, and it generally works fine?

Assuming I do need a powered splitter, is there a product any of you recommend? Or a circuit that does a good job?

Thank you in advance.
