Title: Two Expert HD PSU boards for parts - Free
Post by: BlueBMW on April 02, 2012, 10:41:20 AM
I've got two dead power supply boards that both came out of Expert HD units.  One has new caps, but is still dead (and is missing a few diodes that I removed)  the other is basically untouched.

Free to anyone who wants them.  I'll even ship them for free anywhere in the world.

I used one of them for parts already... I might still have the other laying around somewhere though.

Oh!it was too late!
If you get information about throwing away parts, please tell me.
Many people use ATX PSU,but I don't want to use it because it looks bad and disturbs other parts such as HDD.
So I want to repair original PSU.
I succeeded partially so a machine works well.
But it has problem about switching.(When I turn main PSU switch, all power becomes on.)
So I'm studying repairing it perfectly.

Sorry for funniest English.(I live in Japan)

Regards.

These PSU boards came from systems I worked on a long time ago.  I was doing ATX power supply swaps at that time.  Now I try and rebuild the originals.  I prefer to use the original PSU for the same reasons you mentioned...  Hard drive fitment and aesthetics.

If you have not found it already, this site has some great info about repairing the PSUs...

Also, in this archive there are some schematics for a few of the PSU units.

Maintain information is public common, so I'm collecting information by myself.
