Title: Xbox PS controller adapter

ok so i bought i playstation controller to xbox adapter, everything worked fine for like 3 days and for whatever reason the X button is now mapped to the L1 button ??!?! anyone ever heard of this? any help would be greatly appreciated thanks again!
