Title: sega Master System to jamma
Post by: grips03 on April 12, 2011, 06:37:33 AM
Video experts,
I have a model 1 US Sega Master System / SMS. I'm connecting to jamma cabinet. Everything is working good besides video is a little dark. On top of SMS there is an IC labeled 315-5124 where I tapped the RGB signals. I tried other places like input and output of CXA1145, but they are where washed out and so far this IC seems like the best spot. I also tried using video amp based on 3 C1815GR transistors, but they provide washed out video. Perhaps this amp boosted video too much? Should I add pots on the output?

Any ideas on how to fix. I did a similar mod (console to jamma) using the model 1 Genesis, but its video is nice and bright.

315-5124 pin 26 = red
pin 27 = green
pin 28 = blue
pin 29 = sync
pin 32 = ground

Thanks

I used the THS7314 amp and it fixed the little dark issue. Thanks to mmmonkey.
