Title: syncmaster 730mw won't switch to RGB SCART (Ext) input
Post by: skforty on January 31, 2011, 12:21:28 PM
I've wired up a scart cable according to http://members.optusnet.com.au/eviltim/gamescart/gamescart.htm#snes (http://members.optusnet.com.au/eviltim/gamescart/gamescart.htm#snes) and it won't let me switch to that input.  I've never used a scart TV before, usually arcade monitors and pvms.  The only difference between those diagrams is that i am using composite sync, rather than composite video.    Any ideas?    USIng +5v as a source on pin8 with a 150ohm resistor from 8 to 16.  Do i need a higher voltage on pin 8?

Thanks!

Make sure the "Area" on the menus is configured for "Europe" and the country is set to "Other". If the monitor is set to a region other then Europe, the SCART input won't show up as an available input. The only downside of leaving the monitor set to a country other then USA or Canada is that you can't use the cable TV tuner.
