Title: Battery type on sub-board?
Post by: stt1 on January 12, 2011, 07:45:31 AM
I have a pair of twin-tower X68030 computers with (most probably?) cap problems - they boot a bit slowly and do have problems with reading floppies. Anyway, while I change the caps, I could change the battery on both. However, I can't see the battery type printed on these small thingies. Does anyone know what type of battery should I buy?

I measured another battery and it gave only ~1,15V.

Ah! answering to myself  ::)

Fortunately I have two of these sub-boards, I could read Panasonic VL from another and 1220 from another. So, battery type is VL-1220:

BATTERY LITH COIN 3V 12.5MM VERT - VL-1220

Seems that at least other is already quite far from the original 3V...
