OK, so I got in a UX40 system today. It's in very nice shape, but two problems so far. Dead hard drive and it wont boot CDs. It does attempt to read CDs. Took the CD drive apart and the laser is coming on.
1. If the laser is firing, is it still a good idea to get a replacement?
2. What compatible hard drive can I get? (I know it has the external SCSI interface, but I'm not certain what the internal one is.)
