Title: Does a 5.25 floppy drive work on a laptop with xFloppy?
Post by: Andrew on July 20, 2010, 07:07:41 AM
I have an old laptop with Win98. Is there any way to connect a PC compatible 5.25 inch floppy drive to a laptop and use xFloppy to write and read X68k disk images?

I've heard that external 5.25 floppy drives do exist for PC which can be connected via parallel or serial port. For example:

It would be great if that would work with xFloppy because I don't want to keep an old PC tower just to write X68k disk images. It's a waste of space imo.

I also do not want to keep a tower just for writing floppies for my x68000.

does someone know external floppy drives which are confirmed writing x68000 images ?

All these models will, if you can connect to your laptop.
