Title: crt rgb modding
Post by: mr. newbie on April 28, 2010, 04:14:48 PM
cs-36509 mitsubishi - my friend sold me this for $50.  pretty standard tv with composite and s-video.

since crt's convert everything to rgb anyway can i somehow make this accept rgb (preferably without electrocuting myself)?

i'm guessing the answer is no and this is another roadblock on my quest to never find an rgb display.

Nope, not that it can't be done but it would require extensive knowledge. Which would be hard to obtain without at least the complete schematics for the TV.

But S-video ain't that bad is it? Try to make the best out of it :-) If you can't find a good RGB set then you should try to do the best with what you'll sit with until you can upgrade.

A good quality TV with Svideo is better than a low-quality TV with RGB, for sure.
