While doing some mods to my SNES, I slipped with a small flathead while poking around and damaged what I think is a transformer on the board. Its right behind the power input jack, has 4 contacts to the board, and the case for it is marked RC01 U(its component T1 in the SNES schematic). I added RGB and digital audio to the snes, so I would really like to just repair this instead of having to get a new one and mod all over again.
Anyone know what I can replace this part with? Thanks in advance.
Found the replacement part. Not a transformer, but a Common mode choke. Got newer model SNES and the part was marked TDK ZJYS-2, gonna order one now...
Well, ordered a new one and installed. SNES lives once again. In case anyone else ever needs to replace this part, I ordered mine from Digikey, Digikey part# 445-2220-1-ND. Manufacturuer part # ZJYS51R5-2PBT-01. Also, I needed to replace the fuse as well, so if you're worried about what to use for that, Digikey part# 507-1014-ND did it for me.
