Title: PC Engine Duo-r(x) Pin 29 mod
Post by: duo_r on January 12, 2009, 08:41:32 PM
ok,

so as we all know, on a PC Engine pin 29 on the Hu6280 has to be lifted and grounded. But recently i found some information saying that for Duo-R and RX systems, Pin 29 was NC (no connect). So you can just ground the pin without lifting. Can anyone else confirm this?

Yeah, that's correct. I've done this on a bunch of Duo-Rs, including my own. There is a big fat ground plane to the south of the chip that you can scratch and use.
