I started another thread that I should have mentioned here also.
RGB -> S-video (http://nfg.2y.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=329)
I found the exact same directions as you, Guest_Fix_Metal. I have ordered 3 broken playstations, for $17.24 after shipping, to get the CXA chips. They're on their way. I'll see if the right chips are in there.
