Title: HELP
Post by: nc30 on March 31, 2008, 01:55:49 AM
Hi, I've got a Jap Sega Saturn which now shows everything in black and white. It was fine last time I used it. I've tried my UK AV cable but that makes no difference and my UK Saturn works fine with either cable. I'm at a loss as to what to do. Any ideas???

Check if your TV has a setting for NTSC via AV inputs or buy a RGB cable.

yeah, are you using it on a different tv this time? make sure ntsc consoles work on your tv, there might not be a problem with the saturn at all.

I have spoken to this user on SegaSaturn.co.uk and he claims that his UK cable is RGB and he is recieving black and white through the RGB scart also. ???

it's more likely that his tv is just using the ntsc composite video signal from the scart cable. there should be a line that you put voltage onto to tell the tv rgb is active.

Or if the TV has more than one SCART he is using one socket that doesn't support RGB.
