Title: Japanese D-Video Cable to Component????
Post by: koohiisan on January 25, 2008, 03:29:13 AM
As I ponder all-things-video, I am wondering if I found the Japanese Gamecube "D-Video" connector, could I lop off the funky Japanese end and solder phono plugs to the appropriate Y/Gnd, PR/Gnd, PB/Gnd pairs and have a usable USA-capable component video cable?    ???

Thanks!!

Yes, this would work fine.  You can also buy (in Japan) d-terminal to component adaptors...

Yay!  I have officially joined the ranks of people with high-quality video!  I hacked the end off of my D-Video cable and made it a component video cable!

F-Zero GX never looked so good...   ;D  Thanks for all the help!
