so i had a composite cable lying around, and i just can't stand composite video, so i decided to hack it and turn it into a component cable using the pinout at the main page. it works fine, except for minor disturbances on screen. it's really strange because they only show up when audio is plugged in. at first i thought it was caused by my unifying audio and video grounds, so i separated them. the result is exactly the same. i still get a very slightly red screen with strange lines all over. :(
any ideas?
