Title: interesting project, need help
Post by: yo-yo on January 06, 2004, 06:01:54 PM
Hello, I'm not new to the modding stuff, i have an atari 2600 that has audio/video connectors on it ^_^. anyways, this is my project. I have 2 dreamcast keyboards, and I think it would be interesting to wire up a dreamcast keyboard to the PC via PS/2. They make adapters that goes from a PC keyboard to a Dreamcast, so why can't it be changed around? Any info or help I can get, like I need to know like pinouts for the dreamcast keyboard. Thank you.

The main reason no one's done this so far, is that it's alot of work and doesn't look that much different than a regular keyboard. You'd have to do more than rewire things to do this. You'd have to program a microprocessor to interpret the Dreamcast protocal into PS2 or USB keyboard commands. But if you still want to look into it, here's some info on DreamCast hardware and software (http://mc.pp.se/dc/).
