Title: PSX to USB wiring
Post by: falconblade on January 06, 2004, 01:24:01 PM
I need a wiring diagram to convert a PSX controller to USB.  I know there are a multitude of adapters out on the market but I don't want to pay for something that I can easily do myself at no cost.  I appreciate any help you guys can give.  Thanks!!

I'm getting tired of having to say this, but you can't simply rewire a connector to make it work on USB.  You need to program a microchip to act as an interface, polling and decoding the controller and maintaining communication with the PC out the USB side.

Lawrence is right.  If you want a cheap and easy PSX pad interface for your PC, you're just going to have to settle for a parallel port interface.
