Title: Advance Game Port work with Wii?
Post by: Drewman21 on January 02, 2007, 03:40:08 PM
Just wondering if anyone has, has tried, knows of, or heard if the Advance Game Port will work on the Wii.  I have only seen two contradicting things.  The first was from wikipedia under the "Game Boy Player" page.  In the See Also section it says
QuoteAdvance Game Port - Similar device by Datel which works through the memory card port (is not compatible with Nintendo's Wii system)
And nothing else about it.
Someone posted on an another forum saying it does.  Anyone have any thoughts.  It seems that some of the Datel cheat disks are working with the Wii and the memory cards are working with games for the gamecube.  I'm just wondering if someone from this forum that has a bit more understanding to say if it works or not.

Just waiting to hear what happens.  Thanks guys.

Heres the instructions

First Boot up your Nintendo Wii
2nd Insert the Action Replay for Gamecube Disc
Next go to the Freeloader Option on the Action Replay
Use that to boot the Advance Gameport Disc (Boot Disk)
Plug in the Advance Gameport
Plug a GBA Game into the Advance Gameport
Finally boot it up

yeah! you need the action replay (latest version) or the freeloader for wii (european version).I just ordened one from ebay uk so may arrive soon.
