Title: Modifying PS2 composite cables into component ones
Post by: Engel-Aus-Flammen on November 27, 2006, 11:52:33 PM
I've looked around my local shops and can't find any component cables for my ps2, so as a result I've decided to modify an old set of composite cables.

I have an optical cable so sound isnt a problem, therefore if I use the red-white-yellow cables and change the pins that they are wired to from pins 2, 4 and (not sure what pin the composite video uses) respectively, to say pins 11, 9 and 12 respectively, would this work? or have I missed something?

Hopefully that makes sense...

If you can successfully move the pins in the connector then you're pretty much done, your theory is correct.
