Title: Radica 'Genesis' RGB?
Post by: GZeus on October 30, 2006, 08:35:53 AM
Can this be done?
It looks doubtful so far, but it never hurts to ask.

nope, not possible.  I looked into this in the past and what I can tell is that the chip emits Y and C (S-video) video lines and then combines them into composite.  You can identify the seperate Y and C by the 2 choke inductors on the board.  So S-Video is the best quality you can get out of the Radica.  Stereo is possible as well.

Hey, it's better that the insanely blurry composite that thing puts out.
Maybe S-video will bring it up to normal composite standards...
Then perhaps I'll build myself a portable.
