Title: PSX (pal) B/W ntsc output
Post by: scorpion_hub on December 23, 2003, 11:42:28 PM
Hi to all,

i hope that someone in here can help me...
i own an psx (schp 1002) and build in an new modchip (happy import playing ;))
everythings fine as far as i use my rgb cable to connect it to tv
but lightgun shooters won't work with an RGB connection..
the problem is when i hook up the psx with the normal chinch cable
the picture is black and white on ntsc games (it's not a tv prob all other consoles work fine in ntsc mode)

does anyone know an workaround for this problem, that i can get an coloured picture with the normal av->scart cable?

You can hack the video chip to stay in PAL colour mode, but it's easier to just buy a guncon A/V adaptor and use RGB.
