Title: playing TERRANIGMA on NTSC SNES
Post by: calamazu on June 15, 2006, 03:22:35 AM
ok. so.... is this possible? because im having a heck of a time getting it to work. My friend and I tried to disable the lockout chip as the site had indicated. That seemed to have gone pretty smoothly but we still got that message that the cart is not the proper format for my snes.  Is the 50/60 mod absolutely necessary? we havent tried that yet... but have been discouragead from our progress so far. Has anyone actually gotten it to work on the US console?? If so any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Terranigma will only boot in 50 Hz, I'm not sure how it works in 60 Hz though? Since it is PAL optimized as far as I know.

It will work if you install a 50/60Hz switch. The game will never play if you boot your SNES in 60Hz. Just install a switch, boot it in 50Hz and then switch over to 60Hz when the title screen appears. Simple.
