Title: Converting GC digital cable to component
Post by: Simon Stoneman on April 05, 2006, 05:54:13 AM
Has any one tried to convert the GC digital cable with the jap d-terminal connector to a component type i.e. 3 rca connectors Y Pb Pr as the proper componet cable is become few and far between to get at a decent price  .

As here (http://www.gamesx.com/avpinouts/jdcon.htm) shows the pin config for the d-terminal but o wouldn't know where the other wires would go and thoughts or leads?

Thanks,

Simon.

If the only signals you want are the component ones, just ignore the other ones.  Pins 1-6 are all you need.

Cheers for the info, one other question, pin 14 which has the plug in flag do you happen to know were this would be placed out of the 3 rca's I would have as it would be neat to use it?

It probably needs to be grounded, but there's the off chance it'll need positive voltage.  It's a signal to the TV, not the console.
