Title: RGB capable LCDs
Post by: Mode7 on March 29, 2006, 09:07:24 AM
New here from Benheck.com forums. I'm off to portablize a SNES, but I'm wondering if there are other screens beside the official Sony PS1 LCD that can accept RGB internally. I read in an old post here that the Intec screen does RGB, but are there any others you can confirm? The help is appreciated, and thanks for it.

All Intec screens can accept RGB from the system their made for and internally convert it (if my source is correct).  The mini-screens that were on Hip-Gear's PS2 and XBox controllers, a bit small, but could be made to display RGB.

The Intec Xbox screen is one of the best, a little laggy on fast action, but for typical menu-based RPGs and one-screen Old School memorabilia, they're damn good.

There's a way to use a PSP screen, but I can't remember where I've seen the connector adapter.  Sorry.
