Title: cxa1145 application note cavo2
Post by: socialdrone on March 16, 2006, 04:27:53 PM
i noticed the .pdf file for the cxa1145 was missing some information.  i dont know if its worth mentioning but its missing the application notes that show how to get Y,C output for s-vhs.  it requires a second cxa1145 chip, a delay line, band pass filter, two variable resistors, ect.

anyone interested in this?

I don't have the info you're looking for (Use a CXA1645 instead, it has real svideo) but I can tell you it's not s-vhs (that's a video tape), it's s-video.

Application Note CAVO2
NTSC/PAL Encoder Y,C Interface

RGB encoder - CXA1145P/M can provide Y, C output.  The following is the circuit diagram to apply this output.  S-VHS requires 75ohm drive capability for Y, C output.  Output level should be adjusted with 1k ohm potentiometers.  Recommended parts are the following, and available from TOKO America  (Telephone: 708/297-0070)

3.58MHz Band Pass Filter        H286BAIS-6276DCD
4.43MHz Band Pass Filter        H286BAIS-4963DCD
