Can any body explain to me, how to add composite video and audio out, on a Game Gear?
If the AV output is possible I would also like to add a joystick port on to it. (I think I can handle that part.) I would like to use it as a stand alone console, but also keep it portable.

You wouldn't believe how many times this has been asked or tried. The GG is not capable of composite output without a hell of a lot of work. I don't think it's been done by anyone outside of Sega at all.
A while ago bunch of good folks on smspower.org came up with an RGB output for the Game Gear. Here's the thread (http://www.smspower.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2539&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0). There has been a couple of different schematics that have worked for different people. Here's two pics of the set-up I made:

WOW!!!! That is a little overwhelming!!
I don't have a RGB monitor, but that is pretty cool. I was thinking if it was possible to just tap in to a the audio and video leads and put in a couple of RCA jacks it would be worth the time and expense. Thanks guys.
Just to add to the info? The Game Gear screen itself takes some kind of weird digital input. All the wiring you see in the pictures Sammy Hagar posted links to intercepts the RGB before it gets fed into whatever encoder Sega used to generate the Game Gear screen. When using the MasterGear convertor, this encoding is also why Master System games aren't cropped, but scaled down to fit on the low-resolution Game Gear display.

yeah, I recently came across the SMS Power forum stuff and I have been in contact with Xavier (the guy who created the mod). He's working on a new PCB layout and will be selling the RGB mod boards for aroun $58. I'm going to buy one from him as well as make my own (I already bought the parts). When I'm done with some other projects I'll go ahead and start this. My goal is to make a Game Gear super portable....one with a great RGB screen so I can actually enjoy the game sin my GG collection.

Why?
If you buy one you've just paid what amounts to a not inconsiderable sum as well as giving yourself a fairly large incentive to not bother making your own.
Save your money to spend on something worthwhile, make your own RGB unit and be happy that you've accomplished something.
