Title: RGB newbie needs help
Post by: opposite36 on December 02, 2005, 07:59:42 AM
i just acquired a Mitsu. AM-2752A

I am interested in hooking it up to my computer.

Got it from a college sale for $1  :)

I'm not sure if it works or not but, I need to know if I need a special video card or just an adapter or what?

It has a port labelled TTL but, I've read that is digital and my video card is probably analog.

Any help would be appreciated.

If it only does TTL, you're out of luck.  No modern video card will support it.  Remember EGA?  That's what that monitor is.

opposite36,
What are you trying to achieve? You can connect a VGA card to a TTL fixed frequency monitor but it's a farily complicated task. It involves taking the video signal from the VESA feature connector (where it's in digital form) and running special software to change the video output frequency.

Google is your friend (http://www.monitorworld.com/Monitors/mitsubishi/am2752a.html). Get a VGA to 5BNC cable and it should work.
