Title: Neo Geo controller question
Post by: Yod@ on October 01, 2005, 09:49:00 PM
Hi,
Quick question - I've got to mod a DC stick to work on a NeoGeo this weekend, but sadly I don't have a NeoGeo with which to test it, so I have to do my best to double-check everything before I post the stick back.

Strange thing - GamesX and the hwb both say that the NeoGeo sticks use a DB15 male connector, but the owner of the DC stick and a couple of other small sites (just found via Google) say that the controllers use a female DB15 connector, and the male connector is on the console.

Could someone here please confirm for me what type of connector is used on the Neo sticks?

Cheers!

The connector inserted into the console is female, think of a pin as a phallus.

Thanks for confirming it, that's what I thought.

Which means that hwb has it wrong:

and the GamesX page also makes it sound as though it's a DB15 male connector on the stick:
