Title: Sega Megadrive 2 a/v plug replacement.
Post by: amoult on September 01, 2005, 07:44:20 PM
I  need a new A/V plug to my megadrive 2. My old composite cable is broken and  I decided to solder new rgb-scart cable. Does anyone know where I could buy a new connector or what is excact model of connector so I could buy a replcament. I _could_ use the old plug but it's all-molded in plastic so it wouldn't turn out too pretty.

I know they are selling Megadrive rgb-scarts on ebay every now and then, but I don't want to pay ~25 for that.  (paid 14 for the console and bunch of games :D)

i've been searching for those connectors for about 3 years.
I found them on RS-Components Italy (I'm from Italy) some time ago. It was a little stock.
12 for 5 female PCB connectors
12 for 5 male cable connectors
+ shipment costs.
I said, fuck it my second MD2 will RIP for a long time again
if anybody know where to find those connectors (for cheap I mean, not 213 each one) just reply :D

Lik Sang sells them for about 4.5 and they're top quality.
