Title: PC Engine GT / Turbo Express
Post by: cloudd on July 12, 2005, 03:03:34 PM
Is this easily done? I thoiught the direction of the signals went in the opposite direction?

check out this pic on Ebay. The PC Engine express comes with an "A/V out" cable NOT "A/V in"!

I noticed that after I finished reading the page it seems as though the port for the tv tuner is not the same as on the retail systems. How do we mod our retail units?

Any thoughts Lawrence or anyone else?

I was digging around in my Turbo express a few years ago when I country modded it with chips and 1 switch(circuit). I remember the LCD had a ribbon with about 7 wires ont it? I do not have it on my now, on the other side of the country at the moment. BUt I think maybe I could tap into it there and get the rgb and sync?

The GT/Express has the same chips as the rest of the PCE/TG hardware.  It's trivially easy to tap video or RGB from it and rewire an existing port to output these signals.

Yes, the system has a standard RGB LCD inside that can be used for other purposes, or you can tap the RGB from this cable.
