Title: Green screen with modded N64...
Post by: Cain on November 13, 2003, 01:58:06 AM
Hello,
Ive modded my N64 but when i plug the SNES RGB cable, i get a green screen.
I've searched the forum for similar problem, and i found this post. (http://nfg.2y.net/forum/index.php?act=ST&f=5&t=28)
It looks like my cable isn't set to RGB.
Thanks in advance.

The N64 is totally different than the GC.  The GameCube RGB cable converts the digital signal to RGB outside of the GameCube.  The N64 does it internally, so if you're seeing a green screen you've either got a model incompatible with the mod (remember, if it doesn't look identical to the pics shown it will not work) or you screwed something up.

On another note. What signal comes out of the Gamecube's Digital AV port before it's converted to Component or RGB?

The GC's digital port outputs Digital Component video and digital audio, but I don't know that either is in a format to be used by anything without modification.
