Title: Running PAL software on a NTSC TV
Post by: SBKallstars on November 28, 2004, 07:44:33 PM
My friend who lives in Japan wants to run PAL software (DVD movies and some PAL games) on his JAP PS2 (modded) Problem is his TV  can run PAL video :(

I was looking at a product like this http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=...oducts_id=1686& (http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=26&products_id=1686&) except the other way around PAL to NTSC  that would work eh.
Anyone know of any other converters?

The best and easiest thing to do would be to get an RGB TV or monitor and use it instead.

That's not really an option.  I just wanna know if what I have stated will work?

The box you linked to will do NTSC->PAL. So no, what you linked to won't work. If you find something else, that may work, but it would probably be easier to find an RGB monitor. Why isn't that an option? Lawrence has told us they are easy to find in Japan, are they not?
