Post by: paul on November 27, 2004, 09:21:01 PM
i'm looking for either a playchoice of famicom ppu so i can run rgb on my us-nes.  what exact playchoice hardware am i looking for?  all the game pcb pictures don't show a 40 pin ic, which is what i'm assuming the ppu is.  the one on my nes pcb is 40 pins, atleast...

It doesn`t matter which playchoice hardware, the games don`t have the PPU. The chip has 40 gold pins in white or brown ceramikpackage and labled as RP2C03B.

Its very funny, some peoples in germany write rpg cable instead of rgb cable :-)
Or "Final Fantasy is a RGB" :)

Only with the PC10 Mainboard. No PC10 Game PCBs have the PPUs.

You can also buy a VS Unisystem Rom Kit "Vs Tennis or Duckhunt" or a Unisystem Board with Vs Tennis or Duckhunt installed game, because every Vs. Unisystem game have a PPU, but unfortunately, near all Unisystem PPUs hold a different colorpalette into the Chip and not NES compatible.
