ive decided to do something with my nintendo virtualboy.
anyways i have some things allready planned, but i was wondering if anyone had some suggestions...im open to ideas.
its been a challenge just to get the thing opened up without breaking anything. i havnt disassembled it entirely yet, but from what i can see through the mirrors...there is no lcd screen. maybe the mirrors are messing with my mind.
if anyone is interested i can post some pictures.
it isnt LCD based, rather the story goes that it uses a column of LED's reflected off the mirrors and the mirrors resonate to draw the image across your eye. note that you should feel the unit vibrate as it powers up and down which supports the resonating mirror theory, as i guess having 2 high res 2d LED displays would have been very pricey a decade ago.
here is a whole slew of info for you to look at

thanks that makes a ton of sense. i dont know why i thought it had lcd screens. after taking a closer look i see the column and having powered it up, it rapidly vibrates in my hand.
the website was pretty interesting but most of the links are dead. im still looking for ideas.
