Nice showcase for your genny. I've been meaning to do something similiar with my model 2. How good is your composite output? Mine is a lot better then the RF but it is still grainy. I also am amused because your RCA connectors just hang out the back like mine, I do plan on mounting however.

If you don't wish to share this info it is fine but how did you send a reset to the z80?

BTW    The model 2 genesis lacks a true Z80. A workalike has been incorporated into one large chip which houses the VDP and Glue. Resetting the Z80 is not possible.

Hey, i'll add a toaster too!!!

BTW S-Video is not possible. The genesis does not put out Chroma and Lumi signals ;)

It's completely possible!  And it definitely outputs Y anc C, albeit not perfect without at least a simple buffer/filter.

very nice mod!  I like your work alot.  Although I must say it's not the ultimate Genesis....it doesn't compare to my CDX Ultima :)

ahh yes, I was looking at that, and I must say, that is quite impressive :). But as for *JUST* a genesis, I do think mine is ultimate just because of the incredible performance difference. If I had a sega CD attached, yours would steal the crown :).

The RCA jacks no longer hang out the back, they are mounted on the case

ah yes, for just a genesis it is certainly the best :)  BTW, why can't you do a 50hz/60hz mod?  Does it not work with the 68010?

It works, but I didnt want to have *too* many switches. I don't have any TVs that work with 50 Hz anyways.

The only difference you see with the 68010 is with compatability, and a few other things. More info here (http://www.geocities.com/robivy64/68010.html)

Yea I know what you mean about too may switches however, there are a lot of fantastic PAL releases you can only play when the system is on 50hz.  Basically you start up the game in 50hz and after it checks in the opening screen switch it back to 60hz.  You can play alien soldier, mega man, and other great PAL titles that way.
