Title: Timer LED?
Post by: 3rdman01 on October 10, 2019, 02:54:41 PM
Stupid question, I'm sure but I can't find an answer...what the heck does the Timer led indicate?

It indicates the timer is turned on (IOCS _ONTIME). I use a RAMdisk driver that uses the timer light to indicate RAMdisk access. Probably most people will never see it lit.

GRAD. It's pretty flexible. Allows TVRAM and GVRAM as RAMdisk and so on.

I'm returning to this thread because I just swapped out the battery with a ML2032 battery and upon first boot, the timer LED flashed for the first time for me. After 10 seconds or so the timer LED stopped flashing and everything seems back to normal.

My question is why did it flash? Did I break something unknown to me as yet? :O
