Broken controller pin

Hi,

My NAMCO Psx joystick is in a bit of trouble. One of the pins that connects to the controller port on the psx/ps2 has broken, and is now stuck in a psx-to-xbox converter. Could I just sacrifice an old psx controller and attach a new pin or attach a whole new connector? Second, how the hell do I go about getting the broken piece out of the xbox adapater?

Yes, just take out the cable from one psx controller and put it into that of the broken controller, and as for the pion stuck in the ps2 to xbox converter, use a razorblade or some jewler's screwdrivers if you have some on handy. If all else fails Radioshack sells pin insertor/extractors for about three bucks.
