Title: How to set date and time for Sharp X68000?
Post by: motorola73 on June 24, 2020, 08:13:28 PM
How can I set the date and time with the Sharp X68K?
What is the script to store these in the bios?
This would be useful to check, without dismantling it, if the battery is still charged!

Hi mate....just do as follows:

TIME
Used to set the current time. Entering the command TIME without parameters will display the time as determined by the machine. The TIME program will now wait for a new time to be entered. The format is <hh>:<mm>:<ss>, and the 24-hour clock is used.

DATE
Used to set the current date. Functions in the same manner as TIME. The date format is <yyyy>:<mm>:<dd>, where the year must be in the range 1980 - 2079.

Ok. I had set the date and time following your instructions, unplug the sharp x68k from the power outlet, hang up and the time and date remain as I set these.  Thanks to you, friend, I know I don't have to take the X68K apart again!
