Title: Switching Parodius from 31 khz to 15 khz?
Post by: cometclean on August 09, 2016, 07:38:22 AM
Does anyone know of a way to switch parodius from 31 khz to 15 khz?

I have figured out how to boot Gradius 1 and Gradius 2 into 15 khz

Gradius 2: low res/15 khz mode = Help key

Gradius 1: low res/15 khz mode = hold down opt. 1 key while the game is booting

It might not have a 15khz mode. X68000 games were very hit and miss with their resolution support.

yes, no kidding. It just seems strange that so many of the konami games, and horizontal shooters in particular have a way to switch into 15 kHz, but not Parodius... Maybe it's part of the sarcasm and irony that exists within the game  ;)

Akumajo Dracula doesn't have a 15khz option either, and I really miss it there as well.

Yes I couldn't find anything online for gradius 2 or gradius 1.. It was trial and error.

Does anyone happen to know if thunderblade can be switched to low res?
