Title: Micomsoft XRGB-2 Issues
Post by: swisstoni on August 09, 2015, 09:40:57 PM
Ok ive picked up a Euro to Jap scart adapter from here (https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/european-scart-to-japanese-scart-converter
) to use with the XRGB2+ and my Commodore 64 and Amiga 1200 but im not getting a picture on screen. The scart cables from the Amiga and Commodore 64 work fine when I plug them directly into a TV, im thinking it could be a faulty scart converter or am I missing something obvious? Just to add when using S Video with the Commodore 64 the XRGB2 works perfectly so I would say the unit is working ok. Ive uploaded the video below to show the problem :

I don't think the XRGB2plus can take S-Video via the GAME-IN connector.

What refresh rate is the Amiga running at? The XRGB2plus may not properly support PAL/50Hz (I have never tried it here in NTSCland), give it a shot at NTSC/60Hz. Also, the output of the 2plus tends to give LCDs fits, something like an upscaled 50Hz signal might be non-standard enough to trigger a "no signal" warning on your monitor (note that the display goes totally blank when switching to GAME-IN mode). Try the XRGB2plus on a CRT.
