Title: Super Famicom "PAL Booster"
Post by: phreak97 on May 28, 2004, 05:51:55 PM
i bought this today from a second hand shop, it works fine, i was just interested to know what the diagram on the back is for, the 50/60hz switch didnt work 100%, maybe this mod is required to use it properly?
anyway, what does the mod do? is it another 50/60  just wired through the multi out for the switch part?

It looks like it's drawing a clock signal from the system, rather than using one itself.  I can't be sure, and I'm not sure what that other wire is doing, but if I were a betting man that's what I'd put my money on.

Great way to save thirty cents, make your customer gut n solder his system.  =)

I've no idea what they're doing.  I just find it funny that it has "Licensed by Nintendo" on the box!

The only other converter i've seen like this was on here (http://www.robwebb.clara.co.uk/shop/snes/snes.htm), and that just converts the colour signal, with no 50/60hz switch.
