Good grief, have I really been hanging around here for 20 years? I was fresh out of high school when I joined.

Ahh well, here's to 20 more!

Played it a bit tonight and it's still slow, not surprised. I'm planning to isolate the 486SLC clock signal so I can increase it without altering the FM synthesizer pitch. If I can get it to 20MHz I'll be happy.

SIG X68000 / classicpc.org keyboard adapter...
Last post by bobrocks95 - Today at 11:13:34 AM
One more thread and hopefully I'm done- I'm looking at getting a keyboard adapter from classicpc.org - https://classicpc.org/x68000%e3%82%b7%e3%83%aa%e3%83%bc%e3%82%ba%e3%81%b8ps2%e3%82%ad%e3%83%bc%e3%83%9c%e3%83%bc%e3%83%89%e3%82%92%e6%8e%a5%e7%b6%9a%e3%81%99%e3%82%8b%e5%a4%89%e6%8f%9b%e6%a9%9f/

However, certain X68000 keys, in particular XF2 and XF3, require Japanese-keyboard-exclusive keys to be pressed ("convert" and "don't convert" for kana input, to the left and right of the spacebar on a Japanese keyboard).

Are these keys usable in any way, or should I avoid the classicpc adapter and just make my own?  Or are there any other readily available options that have some sort of case or enclosure?  Fine with the soldering DIY for this one but I'd prefer it to not look so crappy sitting there exposed.

Thanks!

Having trouble finding a BlueSCSI V1. Any thoughts on Arananet's SCSI2SD Tiny?

Nice work! I have an FMT Marty with 486 CPU and Doc Brown disc drive emulator. I'll give this a try!

Are those properly shielded though? You never know with aliexpress products. I guess since the cable length is limited interference might not be so bad even if the quality is poor.

Well I did Snatcher on the PC-88 last year, so it was only logical that I also do Policenauts on the PC-9821. Finally got around to it. This was an especially difficult and time-consuming video for me to make, so please check it out if you have the time!

X68000 Software / Having trouble setting up my X...
Last post by mechattorney - May 06, 2024, 06:22:33 AM
Hi there,
I am new here and I have no experience with the Sharp X68000. I'm trying to configure my Xbox One controller, but when I open Options..., then Joystick... and click on Setup, I get an error message ("A required resource was unavailable"). I tried the same method with my other controllers (a 6 button Mega Drive controller and a PS4 controller), nothing worked. Do I need to find some additional DLLs and paste them into the emulator folder? I was only able to remap my Xbox One controller to my keyboard and play a few games with JoyKey mode on. I would prefer not to have to rely on JoyKey mode, as switching it on and off just to use a keyboard gets tedious.
Also, is there a way to exit to the OS/file manager from the game or is it necessary to reset the emulator each time.
Thanks in advance,
Bartosz
